To a degree, yes. However, the majority of broccoli seed varieties contain sulforaphane glucosinolate, but roughly less than 10% of broccoli varieties contain quantities that are economically feasible. Similarly, independent testing of commercial broccoli sprouts demonstrates wide variance in the quantities of sulforaphane glucosinolate. Our products are made with our Plant Variety Protection (patented) seed that contain up to Three times the amount of sulforaphane glucosinolate that is normally found in commercially available seed. As a result, our seed and broccoli sprout products contain superior amount of sulforaphane glucosinolate.
Incidentally, our seed is produced without bioengineering.
Research has demonstrated that sulforaphane glucosinolate is a constituent of seed, broccoli sprouts and mature broccoli. However, the origin of CS Health sulforaphane glucosinolate is from specially selected and produced broccoli seeds, that contain much higher levels of sulforaphane glucosinolate than either mature broccoli or broccoli sprouts.
